2010 Beaver, Cub, Scout, Venturer, and Rover Program Quality Standards & Awards

                            
                                       
    
The Program Quality Award will recognize sections that meet all the objectives which are laid out in the Program Standards.

  This award will be presented annually to those sections which meet all the requirements of the program objectives; ensuring that they are meeting all program targets and have trained and accomplished leaders delivering strong, balanced programs to Scouting’s youth members.


To apply:


1) The section within a Group would complete the Program Standards forms (links below) and submit

     to their Group Commissioner for review.

2) GC will forward on to the Area Commissioner for approval.

3) AC to submit approved section name to Council office for preparing the

    certificate and tracking.

4) Presentation to the Section would be done  by the Area Commissioner

    and the Area Youth Commissioner at an appropriate event, preferably

    in front of parents and youth.


     The  Program  Quality Award  will  be  a  signed  certificate  from  the  Chief  Commissioner  and  the  National   Youth  Commissioner,  thanking             them  for  achieving  a  Quality  Program  for  the  youth  in  their  Section. They will also receive a Quality Prorgram crest with a year tag, which                 could be placed on their flag, totem or group campfire blanket.

   An  optional  smaller  version  of  the  crest  would  be  available  from  Scout  Shops.

   The  Section  could   purchase  these  and  present  to  their  youth  members  for  campfire  blankets  etc....it  would  not  be    worn  on   their  uniform."
